The mailkube marks, the colours they use, and the space they need. Use them to refer to mailkube in articles, integrations and comparisons, within the terms further down this page.
Get the filesTwo marks
The wordmark is the default. The logomark stands alone where the wordmark will not fit, such as an avatar, an app tile or a browser tab. Both draw the same cube at the same proportions.
Wordmark, reversed
The same lockup for a dark ground, with both colours stepped one shade lighter.
Logomark
The cube alone, supplied tight and on a square canvas. The square version is the one to feed an avatar or an app icon.
Where the marks hold
The envelope lines are knockouts, so the ground shows through them. On anything darker than the tint, switch to the reversed artwork.
The light artwork cannot go on navy. Its top face is that exact value, so the face and the knockout lines both disappear and the mark reads as a bare cyan shape. That is what the reversed files are for.
Three values
Each mark uses two of them at a time: a darker one for the top face and the letters of mail, a lighter one for the body and the letters of kube. Going to a dark ground steps both one shade up.
| Value | On light | On dark |
|---|---|---|
| #182349 | Top face, mail | |
| #25A8E0 | Body, kube | Top face, mail |
| #C9EFFF | Body, kube |
Navy and cyan are the same two values this site is built from. Ice exists only inside the reversed artwork and is never a background, a rule or type.
Clear space and minimum size
Clear space is measured from the mark, so it scales with it. Keep type, rules, images and the edge of the page outside it.
Minimum size
| Mark | Screen | |
|---|---|---|
| Wordmark | 120 px wide | 25 mm wide |
| Logomark | 16 px square | 6 mm square |
Below these the knockout lines close up and the cube stops reading. Use the favicon sizes instead, which are drawn for it.
Do and don't
The marks are supplied finished. Place them, scale them proportionally, and leave the drawing alone.
Do
Swap to the reversed mark on dark
Anything darker than the tint takes the reversed artwork.
Do
Keep the clear space
Nothing enters the boundary, including the edge of the page.
Do
Take the SVG where you can
It stays sharp at any size and weighs less than the raster it replaces.
Don't
Recolour it
The three values are the mark. Tinting it makes it another brand.
Don't
Stretch it
Scale both axes together. The cube reads as a cube only in proportion.
Don't
Rotate it
The mark sits square to the baseline everywhere it appears.
Don't
Add effects
No shadow, outline, bevel or gradient.
Don't
Place it on cyan
The body is cyan, so it dissolves. Use cream, white, the tint, or the reversed mark on navy.
Don't
Fill the knockouts
Painting the envelope lines white breaks the mark on every ground but white.
Using the marks
The mailkube name and marks are trademarks of Mail Tactic Corporation. You may use them under the following rules without asking us first.
- Refer to mailkube in articles, documentation, integration listings, conference talks and comparisons.
- Use the artwork as supplied, scaled proportionally, with the clear space intact.
- Keep the marks distinct from your own. Do not combine them into your product name, logo, domain or trademark, and do not use anything confusingly similar.
- Describe your relationship to mailkube accurately. The marks do not indicate partnership, sponsorship or endorsement.
- Anything beyond these rules needs written permission. Write to [email protected].
These rules cover the marks only. Use of the mailkube service is governed by the Terms of Service.
